What is personal information?
Personal Information covers any data that enables us to identify you as an individual. This information could include, name, address, email address, credit card details or bank details (submitted when making a donation).

How do we use your personal information?
The information you give us will be used to keep you informed of the diverse ways Bible Society is working to end Bible poverty. Should you not wish us to do so please email contactus@biblesociety.org.uk

When you supply information such as your name or email address to us, we are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that we only use this information for the purpose for which it was requested, and to ensure that it is kept securely.

Your information will not be passed to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

How do we use your financial information and keep it secure?
In order to process financial transactions, we may need your bank or credit card details.

All credit card payments are processed by RBS WorldPay, via a secure server.

If you make a donation to us in error and would like a refund please telephone our Contact Centre on 01793 418222 or e-mail us at contactus@biblesociety.org.uk

If you have given us bank details in order to set up a direct debit, your information will be processed by Baigent, within a secure hosting environment.

Information you give us via the website is stored and processed in the UK. However, because of the nature of the internet, it is possible that your data may pass through countries outside the EEA.

What are ‘Cookies’?
